Baghdad, Jan 27 (IANS) At least 31 people were killed and 60 others injured Friday in a suicide car bombing that targeted a funeral procession in Baghdad, Xinhua reported.
An interior ministry official said the attack took place near a funeral site outside a hospital in the Iraqi capital's al-Zafraniya district.
Iran's Press TV reported the funeral procession was for a Shia family -- a man, his wife and son -- who were gunned down Thursday.
Several vehicles and buildings near the site were damaged in the explosion.
No one has claimed responsibility for the bombing.
