BJP party president Rajnath Singh said, "There is no need to discuss coordination, we are totally organised and united.", when asked if the relations between the BJP and the RSS were discussed.
The marathon meeting between the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) went on for over seven hours on Thursday.
He further skirted questions on the reports of Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi being the Prime Minister candidate of the BJP, saying, "When we decide on a candidate for PM, we will let you know."
The meeting assumed significance as the clamour to declare Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi the prime ministerial candidate has been growing louder within the saffron parivar. Modi was recently elevated as BJP's election campaign committee chief at its Goa conclave.
In a related development, Deputy Leader of BJP in Lok Sabha Gopinath Munde on Wednesday met Modi at his office, sources said.
Munde, who was in the state on a previous engagement, spent around two hours with the Chief Minister, sources said.
