Hyderabad building collapse: Nine dead

At least nine persons feared dead and over 15 injured when the dilapidated building of a hotel in Hyderabad, R.P. Road collapsed on Monday morning. The bodies of the deceased were pulled out of the debris of Hotel City Light, an Iranian restaurant in Secunderabad.

The incident occurred at around 6.30 a.m in the morning creating a panic among the local people. The hotel was running from a dilapidated structure, as ACP N. Mahindar reported.

Rescue operations were being hampered as on lookers poured into the area and blocked the paths leading to the site. Haphazardly parked media vehicles also compounded the problem.
