BJP politics a reason for terror outfits like Indian Mujahideen: Congress

"Indian Mujahideen (IM) was formed after the Gujarat riots, says NIA in its chargesheet. Even now BJP and RSS will not desist from communal politics?" Congress leader Shakeel Ahmed tweeted. 

The Congress, on Sunday, blamed the Gujarat riots of 2002 for the creation of terror outfit Indian Mujahideen.

The contents of the chargesheet, filed on July 17, were first reported by The Indian Express. It claimed that the IM was formed after the Babri Masjid demolition and the Gujarat riots.

Ahmed said that the BJP's communal politics set off a "chain reaction" on the issue of terror. "If they foresake their communal politics, outfits like the IM will cease to exist," he said.
