The Tribal Communities are to Face Tough Time in Chatisgarh

The forestry department of Chattisgarh is now looking to evict at least 30 families from the forest which is lifeline for them. The tribal people covers 32 percent of the total population of Chattisgarh and they have only few rights and privileges available from the Union and State Governments.
The forest is a lifeline for tribal communities living in India's Chhattisgarh state.
However, the forestry department is now trying to evict the settlement of at least 30 families in the central state.
State government's  official figures show that most tribal communities have no basic amenities. Only 15 percent have access to clean water. According to Al Jazeera’s Delhi correspondent Divya Gopalan reports from Chhattisgarh.
