Tokyo, March 8 (IANS) An elderly man in southern Japan died Thursday when he was hit by a high-speed train while crossing a railway track.
The accident took place around 9.50 a.m. in Omihachiman city of Shiga Prefecture.
He was knocked down on the Shinkansen Line. Train services on the route were temporarily suspended after the accident, Xinhua reported.
