New Delhi, March 13 (IANS) A slight earthquake measuring 3.5 on the Richter scale was felt in western Uttar Pradesh early Tuesday, resulting in light aftershocks in parts of Delhi and the National Capital Region (NCR). There were no reports of casualties or damage to property.

According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the epicentre of the quake, which took place at 3.37 a.m., was Baghpat in western Uttar Pradesh. The intensity was "slight", said an IMD official.

Mild tremors were felt in parts of the capital and the NCR. However, no serious damage was reported.

On March 5, a 4.9-magnitude temblor had shaken the national capital and its adjoining areas in the NCR. Its epicentre was Bahadurgarh on the Haryana-Delhi border, 35 km from New Delhi.
