Manila, March 8 (IANS) A former vice mayor and his wife were shot dead in this Phillipines capital, police said.
The attack took place around 10.50 p.m. Wednesday when they were alighting from a vehicle in front of their rented apartment, Xinhua reported.
Ramon Arcinue, 55, former vice mayor of Lingayen town, and his wife, Zorahayda, 55, a village captain, were shot at from close range, police said. The reason for the attack was not immediately clear.
