Patna, March 3 (IANS) A businessman was shot dead Saturday morning by some unidentified criminals in the Bihar capital, police said.
Ajay Kumar, a businessman dealing with edible oil, was shot dead near his residence in Patrakarnagar police station here.
According to the police, he was killed while returning from a morning walk. "Criminals had exact information of his morning walk timing and eliminated him," an officer said.
The incident has sent shockwaves among the businessmen and traders here.
Police have lodged a case and begun investigation.
Angry local residents blocked roads in protest and demanded arrest of the people behind his killing.
In last two months, nearly half a dozen businessmen have been killed across the state.
