Lucknow, Feb 22 (IANS) Two policemen were run over in Uttar Pradesh Wednesday by a truck carrying smuggled cattle when they tried to stop it, police said.
The incident took place on National Highway 74 in Pilibhit district when the speeding truck rammed into a police van killing the two men including a sub-inspector.
A hunt has been launched to arrest the driver who fled after the accident.
A Home Guard was critically wounded in the incident, police said.
