Washington, Feb 21 (IANS) Boston Celtics' star guard Rajon Rondo has been given a two-game suspension by the National Basketball Association (NBA) for hitting an official with a game ball.
According to the league's disciplinary chiefs, Rondo was banned Monday "for throwing a ball at an official and striking him in the chest" during the Celtics' 81-96 loss to Detroit, Xinhua reported.
The 26-year-old will miss Boston's games at Dallas and against Oklahoma City Wednesday.
