Chennai, Feb 13 (IANS) Indian cricket board president N. Srinivasan Monday said the board's reluctance to use the controversial Decision Review System (DRS) has been further justified with the players from other countries expressing their reservations on the technology.
Srinivasan was referring to dubious decisions made during the recently concluded Test series between England and Pakistan in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
"The board's stand on DRS have been vindicated with many expressing their reservations on it," said Srinivisan after a Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) working committee here.
The BCCI has been the lone International Cricket Council (ICC) member to have opposed the use of DRS in bilateral series while the world body continues to advocate the technology despite increasing doubts on the effectiveness of the ball-tracking feature.
When asked about the BCCI's stand-off with the ICC on the DRS, Srinivisan said: "We have stuck to our stand and we have no issues with anyone, including the other Full Member nations."
England cricketers Kevin Pietersen and Stuart Broad criticised the ball-tracking feature of the DRS during the Pakistan series in which their side suffered a whitewash.
