New Delhi, Jan 28 (IANS) With the minimum temperature Saturday dipping to 5.1 degrees Celsius -- four notches below average, it was the second coldest Jan 28 in Delhi in the last five years. More chills are in store with a further dip forecast for Sunday.

However, the warm sun later came as a relief for the residents Saturday.

While the maximum temperature was recorded at 21.7 degrees which was normal for this time of the season, the humidity wavered between a high of 94 percent and low of 38 percent.

"It was relatively colder outside early in the morning. There was a nip in the air today," said 27- year-old Ashish Bhatnagar.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) said the coldest Jan 28 was in 2008 when the minimum temperature was recorded at 2 degrees. At 12 degrees, 2007 was the warmest in the past five years.

According to IMD, after a misty morning, there will be a clear sky Sunday.

The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to hover around 22 and 4 degrees, respectively.
