Jammu, Jan 29 (IANS) Jammu and Kashmir police personnel have left for election duty in Punjab where assembly elections will take place Monday, a senior official said Sunday.
The Jammu and Kashmir Armed Police, veterans in effective policing during elections, were requested by the central government to proceed to Punjab.
"Our men left Saturday evening and will be in Punjab till they are required," the officer said.
